Kenmare Rooms is the traditional pub in the Killarney Avenue hotel in Killarney Co. Kerry. I stayed in this hotel earlier for three nights. It is a really luxiourous hotel and i would highly recommend staying there. The hotel is located just on the Mucross road by the cinema in the town. It is a big white building. They have seats outside the pub to cater for people wanting fresh air and also for the smoking population. As you walk into the pub the bar is straight in front of you and it goes around in a circle. There are seating areas to the left and to the right and you can walk up to left around the bar or to the right. There are a lot of wooden features in the pub which are nice. This pub caters for hotel guests and regulars who are on the mature side. There was a man playing a guitar when we were there and i went and sang a couple of songs which was fun. I was drinking Smithwicks for the weekend and the standard was very good. It is a relatively big pub and it got fairly busy when we were there.
The toilets are located out a door in the main reception and as you’d expect from a nice hotel they were very spacious and cleaned regularly. I cannot honestly tell of a fault with their toilets. The Kenmare rooms are nice for a couple of drinks but it is not really a very lively place. It’s somewhen to chill out and unwind and not to party! I am a big fan of Killarney and have stayed in a lot of the hotels down there. This would have to rate as one of the best. The rooms were great and the general service was second to none.

Final comment: As said the Killarney Avenue is a great hotel. It’s certainly not the cheapest around but it is good value. I would definately go back there.
