Buckleys

Buckleys, Crosshaven, Co COrk

I was there recently for a drink. It has a convenient road side location and is facing the harbour. It was very quiet on our visit but a few people did come in. Both myself and Jen thought the interior of this pub was like a ship. It is a very impressive pub. We sat just on the right inside the door and ordered a Murphy’s and a white wine. The lady at the bar was very pleasant and offered Jen a selection of wines. It is a very cosy bar, nice for a pint on a cold winters night! There is a plenty of seating available and it is quite comfortable. It was a pub we were both glad we went to. The pint of Murphy’s was fine and no complaints about it.

The toilets are situated out towards the back of the pub and they are small but were in good condition. There is a fridge on the right as you walk in, which i thought was a bit strange. It has several appealing characteristics including the ship theme in the pub. It is a place i would most certainly go back to again and can fully recommend it.

Toilet rating: 7.5/10
Pint rating: 7/10
Overall rating: 7.5/10

Final comment: Buckleys of Crosshaven is a fine public house and i may pop back some day, have a look.
