We headed into Ruby Tuesdays recently on a night out in the city. It was formerly The District and before that was The Morgue before that as far as i know. I reviewed The District before and it appears that not too many changes have been made to the interior of the pub. I was served by a very cheery and efficient bar man and sat across from the bar. It was quite busy inside and there was good music playing. I saw an advert where this pub has put a freeze on its prices for drink. I was impressed with the poster and the prices even though i cannot remember fully what they all were. The pint of Murphy’s i had was a very good one. I am not sure how long this bar has had this name but it is a grand spot for a drink, only a short stroll from Cork’s biggest night clubs.
It is a long narrow pub with the bar on the right going down. I checked the toilets and the gents is small but was in good condition on the night in question. I enjoyed heading in and would head back for another pint here.
Toilet rating: 6/10
Pint rating: 7.5/10
Overall rating: 7/10
Final comment: Ruby Tuesdays enjoys a prime location in Cork City.
Not a great atmosphere, bar staff can be pretty unfriendly. Grand for a quick pint if you bring your own fun though
