The Beehive

The Beehive; Liverpool

Next we moved onto a Kevin selected pub. I knew that i’d like this one. The Beehive is located on Paradise street in the city centre. It is most certainly a traditional English pub. We got great seats near the front of the bar and i think they were happy to see a stag night coming in. I was on pints of Stella Artois. Although i’m not normally a fan of this, all the pints i had were very good. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bar maid was very chatty and great fun. This pub reminded me of Dan Lowrey’s bar in Cork city. There was loads of books on shelves behind where we were sitting. There was a big mirror which i thought was a nice feature. The pub was carpeted which you don’t see too often any more.

The toilets were ok. They are small although very usable. There was a guy with a guitar at the bar and i was told not to start talking to him as he seemed a bit ‘weird’ but i engaged him in conversation anyway. He went outside busking for a while and then came back in. I bought two pies from the bar although they seemed to be gone off. Someone ate them though! We spent a good few hours in this pub and really enjoyed it. I can certainly recommend ‘The Beehive’.

Toilet rating: 6/10
Pint rating: 7/10
Overall rating: 8/10

Final comment: The Beehive is a pub that i would go to regularly if i lived near it. It’s just a good public house.
