Murphy’s Bar Lanzarote

This was the first pub that we went into on our night out in Lanzarote. It is located in the new town along the main strip above shops. It is quite a small bar and was relatively quiet when we headed in at about 9pm. There was an eircom league match between Galway and Sligo being shown on the two screens. The first thing i noticed as i walked in was the many signed County GAA shirts. It was 5 euro for a glass and a half of beer. The beer was good and went down well. The lady behind the bar was pleasant and another younger lady working there had a chat with us and was very friendly. There is an area just outside as well where you can sit and enjoy a drink overlooking the main strip.

The toilets here are small but were very well maintained and Jen went as far as saying they were the cleanest toilets she has seen abroad. We just stayed for the one drink in Murphy’s and as we were going there was a musician setting up on their small stage. It was a very relaxed visit.

Toilet rating:8/10
Pint rating: 7/10
Overall rating: 7/10

Final comment: Murphy’s bar was grand for the pint we had there. I am sure that it got much busier as the night progressed.
