Jimmy’s

The next bar that we visited on our trip to Lanzarote was Jimmy’s bar just a short stroll from Craic n Ceoil. It is a pub situated up a stairs and to be fair it is quite small. I got a nice feeling from this place from the moment i walked in. Myself and Jen went on one night and myself and Tom went another night to watch an Irish international match. I think the pint of beer, Dorada as i recall was 2 euro 50, which was quite reasonable. I found the owner of the bar to be a very friendly chap indeed and he was most helpful. I located the bars website and see that his name is Peter Coughlan. He appeared to be very hard working. There was also entertainment on the two nights that we headed in and again courtesy of the website i see that Peter Scott is the mans name. He was very easy to listen to and played a good selection of songs.

The gents toilet is just one cubicle. One thing i liked about it was that the lights come on when the toilets are vacated and go off when empty. Its a good energy saving idea. There was a bit of a crowd on both nights we visited and it was good fun.

Toilet rating: 7/10
Pint rating: 7/10
Overall rating: 7/10

Final comment: Jimmy’s Irish bar is small but can be lively. Expect a warm welcome.
