The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside has a nice feel to it. It is clean and spacious with a darts board. It is run by a few brothers who ‘are not afraid to bet a few quid’, and the habit has rubbed off on the punters. Racing, GAA, football you name it they were betting on it. I didn’t have a bet myself as I was to busy throwing my money over the counter. The locals are very friendly (even to Dubs and Cork people) and there are plenty betting ‘tips’ to be had. Toilets are clean and spacious. There were not to many women there in the afternoon/early evening, so if you are looking to ‘pull’ I’m not sure if this is the place for you. One of the finest pubs I’ve been into in years.
